Kolkata: The ballot boxes in West Bengal have not even closed yet, and the BJP has already started laying the chessboard for the next battle. This is not a hurry for the party, but it is their nature. They do not see elections as an event but as a continuous journey where as soon as one phase ends, preparations for the next begin.
Party insiders say that National President Nitin Naveen is constantly taking feedback from the states. This work is progressing according to the strategy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The focus is clear, to keep the organization active up to the booth level.
It is often said in politics that BJP never comes out of election mode. This has also been visible in the last few days. While other parties are putting all their strength in the last phase of Bengal, BJP is busy preparing the ground in other states.
The party believes that elections are not limited to dates only. Many parties make strategies at the last moment, but BJP insists on being active throughout the year. In the words of party leaders, “We do not wait, we prepare.”
At present there is special focus on states like Goa, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. Here efforts are being made to strengthen the organization through continuous meetings and tours.
Voting is taking place in Bengal in two phases, the first on April 23 and the second on April 29. Apart from this, voting has also taken place in Tamil Nadu. Elections have already been held in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. The results of all these will come on May 4.
BJP also has its eyes on 2027. Elections are to be held that year in Goa, Gujarat, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The party is already working towards strengthening its hold in these states.
There is confidence within the party. Leaders believe that there will be a good performance in Bengal and there may be a chance to form government with allies in Assam and Puducherry. According to him, this constant preparation and grassroots network is his real strength.
