Following the change of power in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari is now the state's new Chief Minister. The portfolios assigned to his ministers are being viewed as a significant step toward delivering direct benefits to the people of the state and ensuring streamlined governance within the region.
It is worth noting that BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari took the oath on Saturday as the ninth Chief Minister of West Bengal. In doing so, he became the first leader from his party to assume the highest office in the state. Along with Suvendu Adhikari, five other MLAs also took the oath as members of his Council of Ministers. Meanwhile, the portfolios within the Bengal Cabinet have now been allocated. The expansion of the Council of Ministers is scheduled to take place at a later date. The maximum permissible number of ministers in West Bengal is 44; therefore, the Bengal government led by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has the capacity to induct 39 additional ministers.
