It is said that reciting every single verse (Chaupai) of the Hanuman Chalisa invokes the divine grace of Lord Hanuman. Reciting it on the day of Hanuman Jayanti is considered particularly meritorious. It is believed that reciting the Hanuman Chalisa on this specific day brings immense benefits to the devotee.
This year, Hanuman Jayanti is on April 2. It is worth noting that reciting the Hanuman Chalisa not only bestows strength and wisdom but also grants liberation from fear. If you choose to recite the Hanuman Chalisa, it is advisable to do so with an understanding of the meaning behind each verse. This will enable you to truly grasp the significance of every single couplet. If you wish to gain strength and wisdom through your recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, you may specifically chant the following verse. This verse is as follows:
Aur Devta Chitt Na Dharai | Hanumat Sei Sarb Sukh Karai ||
The power to bestow all forms of happiness lies solely in the hands of Lord Hanuman. Therefore, do not harbor thoughts of any other deity in your mind or consciousness; focus exclusively on Lord Hanuman. As the divine incarnation of Mahadev—the God of Gods—He is the one who will grant you whatever you ask of Him. Worshipping Him leads to the attainment of every conceivable form of happiness. Reciting this particular verse of the Hanuman Chalisa can not only help fulfill your heart's desires but also serve to alleviate all the troubles and tribulations of your life.

In this verse, the devotee addresses the Lord, saying: "O Son of the Wind (Pavanputra)! I acknowledge myself to be devoid of intellect and, recognizing my own ignorance, I focus my entire contemplation solely upon You. Please bestow upon me the gifts of strength, wisdom, and knowledge. Graciously remove all my afflictions, sorrows, and impurities."
1. Every morning, after completing your bath and daily ablutions, stand before an idol or image of Lord Hanuman and recite this verse.
2. Chant this verse at least one *mala* (round)—that is, 108 times. 3. If it is not possible to do so daily, you may chant this 'Chaupai' (verse) specifically on Tuesdays.
4. Use a 'Tulsi' (Holy Basil) rosary for chanting the 'Chaupai'.

'Bal-buddhi vidya dehu mohi, harahu kales bikaar'.

Every morning, after completing your bath and morning ablutions, you should light a 'ghee' lamp before an idol or image of Lord Hanuman and recite the Hanuman Chalisa. It is said that reciting the Hanuman Chalisa dispels inner fears. On days when you recite the Hanuman Chalisa, it is considered highly meritorious to also chant the specific 'Chaupai' at least one full round—that is, 108 times—using a rosary. Furthermore, make a special effort to recite the Chalisa on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Use a 'Tulsi' rosary for chanting the 'Chaupai'.
