New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki's Brezza and Fronx witnessed tremendous sales in FY2026. The company is now gearing up to introduce a facelift for its compact SUV, the Brezza, to ensure its popularity remains undiminished. Alongside the Brezza facelift, Maruti Suzuki is also set to introduce facelifts for two of its other popular models in the Indian market. Consequently, if you are considering purchasing a Maruti Suzuki car, waiting a little while longer could prove beneficial for you. So, let's take a closer look at these three Maruti Suzuki cars scheduled to launch this year.
A facelift for the Maruti Suzuki WagonR is on the way. For many years, this hatchback has remained a favorite among middle-class families. It has already undergone several generational updates and facelifts. Now, the company is preparing to give it yet another facelift. The current generation of the WagonR available in the market was launched in 2022; since then, it has not received any major updates. It is expected that the upcoming facelift will feature an updated front grille and bumper.
Additionally, the company may also offer an underbody CNG tank option. Inside the cabin, you can expect an updated touchscreen infotainment system with a new user interface, as well as a Type-C USB port. The car will continue to be offered with the same 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder and 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine options. It will be available with both AMT and manual gearbox options.
There is also good news for buyers eagerly awaiting the Grand Vitara facelift. The company is set to introduce a facelift for this mid-size SUV very soon. The exterior is expected to undergo minor cosmetic tweaks. Maruti may also offer additional features such as Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and an underbody CNG tank in this updated model.
This SUV will come with the previously available engine options. It will feature a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated mild-hybrid petrol engine, which will be available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The top-end automatic variant will also offer All-Wheel Drive (AWD). The second option is a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid petrol engine, which positions the Grand Vitara as one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in its segment.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the most popular sub-4-meter SUVs in its segment. The current generation of the Brezza has been on sale for quite some time. Now, Maruti is working on introducing a facelift for the model. This facelifted version has been spotted multiple times during testing. The updated Brezza is expected to feature an improved front grille, headlights, bumper, and alloy wheels.
Inside, the Brezza facelift may be equipped with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, along with features such as ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera. The Brezza facelift will retain the K15C 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine—the same as before—offering both manual and automatic transmission options. The manual variant may receive a new 6-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the CNG variant is likely to feature an underbody-mounted CNG tank. Some reports also suggest that Maruti may offer a turbo-petrol engine option with the Brezza.
