JSW MG Motor India to unveil new 7-seater car on April 20; know features, price

New Delhi: JSW MG Motor India has revealed the launch date for its luxury and premium SUV, the MG Majester. The company is set to unveil its pricing on April 20, 2026. The vehicle will be available in two trims: Sharp and Savvy. It is anticipated that the ex-showroom prices will range between ₹40 lakh and ₹45 lakh.

Notably, this is a 7-seater SUV that falls into the D+ segment in terms of design, features, and dimensions. The company has also commenced bookings for the vehicle, accepting a token amount of ₹41,000. This new flagship SUV from MG will replace the Gloster. In its segment, it will compete against the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.

MG Majester Exterior

On the exterior, the MG Majester features a matrix-inspired grille, distinctive LED DRLs, and a split headlamp setup at the front, helping it create a strong visual impression. The rear end sports a similarly rugged design, complete with dual exhaust tips and faux skid plates. The muscular aesthetic is further enhanced by large alloy wheels, a sculpted bonnet, flared wheel arches, and blacked-out pillars.

MG Majester Interior

Inside the cabin, the MG Majester offers multi-mode massaging seats with ventilation, a JBL Studio 12-speaker audio system, 64-color ambient lighting, a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a large panoramic sunroof. It also features a massive 12.3-inch infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a fully digital instrument cluster.

MG Majester Engine

The MG Majester is powered by a 2-liter twin-turbo engine that delivers an output of 215 PS. The SUV features an advanced 4×4 system, offering Normal, Sand, Rock, Mud, Snow, and 10 other off-road modes. It is equipped with a triple differential lock and boasts a water wading capacity of 810 mm. The MG Majester's safety features include Level 2 ADAS, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Intelligent Headlamp Control, 6 airbags (standard), Hill Descent Control, and a 360-degree HD camera.

The company has commenced pre-bookings for the Majester. Customers are required to pay a token amount of ₹41,000 to book the vehicle. The company has announced that deliveries are scheduled to begin in May. If reports are to be believed, the price of this SUV—which competes directly with the Toyota Fortuner—will be slightly higher than that of the MG Gloster. This implies that prices could range between ₹40 lakh and ₹45 lakh. The MG Majester stands as the tallest, widest, and longest SUV in its segment. It is offered in four color options and two seating configurations.

The 5-5-5 Ownership Program is Also Available

The company is also offering a '5-5-5 Ownership Program' for the MG Majester. This program has been designed to ensure a hassle-free ownership experience, long-term cost predictability, optimized running costs, and nationwide support. Distinct from standalone warranty extensions or optional service packages, the '5-5-5' proposition serves as a unified, standard offer for Majester customers; it includes a 5-year unlimited-kilometer warranty, 5 years of free roadside assistance (with no kilometer limit), and 5 labor-free services. For customers, this translates to having no kilometer cap on their warranty coverage. Nationwide breakdown support for a full five years, and reduced service costs during the most challenging initial years of ownership.
