JSW MG Motor India has raised the price of the MG Comet EV for the second time this year, after an earlier hike in May 2025. Depending on the variant, the prices have gone up by up to ₹15,000. Along with this, the subscription cost under MG's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program has also gone up.

BaaS Subscription Charges Also Increased

The BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) subscription cost has increased from ₹2.90 to ₹3.10 per kilometer. While this may seem like a small jump, it means an extra ₹200 for every 1,000 km driven. For those who drive a lot, this can make a noticeable difference in long-term running costs. Despite the price hike, MG has not added any new features to the Comet EV. It still has two 10.25-inch screens—one shows driving information, and the other is for music, maps, and more, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 4-speaker sound system, manual AC, power windows, push-button start, and electrically foldable ORVMs.
