JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Cyberster, a fully electric sports car, at a price of ₹74.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for those making fresh bookings. Owners who reserved early (pre-launch) can buy it for ₹72.49 lakh. The Cyberster blends modern electric performance with the classic charm of open-top sports cars, taking inspiration from the legendary MGB roadster while styling it for the electric era.
The Cyberster is powered by a 77 kWh ultra-thin battery pack (just 110 mm thick) and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup delivering 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque. With Launch Control Mode, it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The battery offers an MIDC-certified range of 580 km on a single charge. The sports car also reaches a top speed of 200 km/h and has clocked a record acceleration time at Rajasthan’s Sambhar Salt Lake, certified by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
The exterior design of the Cyberster is striking, featuring scissor doors, a soft-top roof, LED signature headlamps, and a Kammback rear with active aerodynamic elements. At the front, the Cyberster has sharp daytime running lights (DRLs) and a stylishly shaped bonnet. At the back, it features a wide LED light bar that includes built-in turn indicators. The car rides on lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli P-Zero tires for strong grip and performance.
Inside the Cyberster, you'll find a driver-friendly setup with three screens—a main 10.25-inch touchscreen in the centre and two 7-inch screens on each side. It has dual-zone AC with air filtration, paddle shifters on the steering wheel for braking and driving modes, comfortable vegan leather and suede seats, and a BOSE sound system that adjusts sound based on road noise.
Safety is a priority with a high-strength H-frame chassis, an SSF (Static Stability Factor) of 1.83, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Additional safety features include a driver monitoring system, dual front and side airbags, electronic stability control, and an electronic differential lock, among others.
