New Delhi: After the approval of the 8th Pay Commission, employees are eager to know how much their salaries will increase. However, no official information has yet been released regarding the salary structure or salary increase under the 8th Pay Commission.

Only experts are making estimates through calculations about the possible salary increase under the 8th Pay Commission. Let's find out how much the salaries of employees from Level 1 to Level 18 might increase.

According to media reports, the increase in salary and pension will depend on the fitment factor. A committee headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai will determine this. The central government will then review it, and the entire process is expected to be completed by the second half of 2027. After this, its implementation may be announced during the festive season.

What is the fitment factor?

Experts believe that the fitment factor under the 8th Pay Commission could be between 1.70 and 2.86 and could be applied uniformly to employees of all levels. They say that a uniform fitment factor provides equal benefits to all employees, but the increase in rupees is higher for those in higher positions.
