New Delhi: The international commodity market had a lot of ups and downs on Monday. When US President Donald Trump said he would not take action against Iran and would try to find a diplomatic solution people started looking for safe investments, which made the price of gold and silver go up.
There has been a rise in the prices of gold and silver in the international market Comex. According to the data till around 9 am, gold has risen by 0.25 per cent and the price has reached $4117.30 per ounce. Meanwhile, the price of silver was seen rising very rapidly. Silver is trading at $58.305 per ounce after jumping by 0.90 per cent.
Meanwhile, gold prices rose on India's domestic market, MCX. Gold fell to around Rs 1.43 lakh per 10 grams on MCX. Silver prices also rose in India, rising approximately 0.40 per cent to trade around Rs 2.18 lakh per kilogram.
Where is gold trading on MCX?
In the domestic futures market gold went up by Rs 181 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) at the time of writing this news, selling for Rs 1,43,557 per 10 grams. Silver prices went up by Rs 863 to Rs 2,18,061 per kilogram at 9 am.
On Monday, the prices of both gold and silver have increased in India. 24 carat gold is trading around Rs 1,43,557 lakh per 10 grams, while 22 carat gold is trading around Rs 1,31.679 lakh per 10 grams. Whereas 18 carat gold is trending around Rs 1,07,738 lakh per gram. Meanwhile, silver rates have increased in India. It was seen trading around Rs 2,18,710 lakh per kilogram.
