New Delhi: On Monday, the precious metals Gold and silver prices have climbed again after last week's crash. The yellow and white metal prices in India shot up sharply, with gold climbing more than Rs 3,000 and silver rising close to Rs 11,000.
The MCX silver futures expiring on March 5, 2026, gained by 4 per cent, rising Rs 10,000 to reach Rs 2,59,887 per kg. At the same time, gold futures for April 2, 2026 delivery increased by Rs 3,049, or 2 per cent, to trade at Rs 1,58,500 per 10 grams.
The cost of 24 carat gold stood at 1,58,990 per 10 grams, while 22 carat gold was priced at Rs 1,45,750 per 10 grams and silver was trading at 2,85,000 per kilogram.
Gold and silver extended gains as the dollar weakened, with investors awaiting a key US labour market report later this week to assess the future path of interest rates.
