Tata Offers Lifetime Battery Warranty on Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh Models

Tata Motors has extended its lifetime battery warranty to the Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh electric models. Initially launched with the Harrier EV, this benefit will now also be available to customers of the Curvv EV and Nexon EV. The company stated that the decision was made after receiving a positive response for the Harrier EV, with the aim of providing more trust and peace of mind to customers.

Tata Curvv EV Battery Options and Range

The Tata Curvv EV is available with two battery choices: 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The 45 kWh variant provides a driving range of 430 km on a single charge, while the 55 kWh version offers an extended range of 502 km. In real-world conditions, Tata estimates the 45 kWh battery will give a range of 330–350 km, while the 55 kWh battery is expected to deliver 400–425 km.

Tata Nexon EV Range

The Tata Nexon EV is currently offered in two battery options: 30 kWh and 45 kWh variants. However, the lifetime battery warranty will be provided only for the 45 kWh version.

The 45 kWh variant offers a certified MIDC range of 489 km, with an estimated real-world range between 350 and 375 km. The 30 kWh version comes with an 8-year or 1.6 lakh km warranty. It offers an MIDC range of 275 km and an estimated real-world range of 210–230 km.

How Long Will the Warranty Last?

Tata’s lifetime battery warranty will be valid for the entire life of the car, up to 15 years, and applies to all private customers, whether they are new buyers or existing owners.

This initiative will help improve the resale value of both EVs and could save customers around ₹8–9 lakh in running costs over 10 years.

Tata Motors is also providing benefits of up to ₹50,000 to its existing EV customers of the Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh variants as part of a special loyalty programme.
