NEET PG Exam Disrupted at Jaipur Centre Due to Power Failure, Re-Exam on September 5

Jaipur: During the NEET PG 2026 examination, candidates had to face problems due to technical problems with electricity and servers at two examination centers located in Sitapura, Jaipur. The examination could not start on time and some candidates could not complete the paper. Regarding the matter, NBEMS has decided to conduct re-examination for the affected candidates on September 5.

Where and at how many centers did the problem occur?

Examinations were affected at two examination centers in Jaipur's ION Digital Zone, Sitapura. These centers are TC numbers 41682 and 41683. According to NBEMS, the examination could not be conducted smoothly due to internal power cut at these centres. The board has held the examination conducting agency TCS Limited responsible for this.

How many times did the server face problems during the exam?

Even after the commencement of the examination, the problems of the candidates did not end. There were repeated technical disruptions in the servers at the centre. The server was affected three times in about an hour. Due to this, candidates started worrying about completing the paper and the situation at the examination center became tense.

Why did the candidates protest?

After continuous technical problems, some candidates came out of the examination hall and protested. He said that in such an important medical entrance examination, the technical arrangements should have been in place in advance. Candidates had to face mental stress due to server halt and examination being disrupted. During this period, there was an uproar at the centre for some time.

When will the re-examination be held on 5th September?

NBEMS has fixed the re-examination date for the affected candidates. According to the board, the re-examination will be conducted on September 5, 2026 at 3 pm in Jaipur. Information regarding new examination centre and revised admit card for re-examination will be released separately.

How many candidates appeared for NEET PG exam across the country?

NEET PG 2026 exam was held on August 30 across the country. A total of 2,73,096 candidates had registered for this. The examination was conducted at 1,111 centres, in which 2,65,980 candidates appeared. Of these, 2,63,535 candidates completed the examination.

What did NBEMS say to the candidates?

NBEMS has expressed regret at the inconvenience caused to the candidates who were affected due to technical problems in the examination. The board has clarified that the affected candidates will be given a chance to re-examine. Candidates will be informed about the further process once the information about the examination center and revised admit card is available.

Now what will the candidates have to do?

Affected candidates will have to wait for the next notice to be issued by NBEMS. A new admit card will be issued for re-examination, which will contain information related to the examination center.
