Opportunity for internship without exam in DRDO, how much stipend will you get?

New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) in Gwalior, part of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has invited applications for a paid internship in 2026. Under this program, eligible candidates will be selected for a total of eight positions. 

Notably, there will be no written examination. Selected students will be offered a six-month internship and a monthly stipend of ₹5,000. Interested candidates can apply by November 14, 2026. 

This DRDO internship will offer opportunities to students in biology, chemistry, and engineering. The positions are listed below.

• Biology: 3 Posts
• Chemistry: 3 posts
• Engineering: 2 Posts

Biology includes subjects such as biotechnology, microbiology, pharmacology, toxicology, and immunology. Engineering students can apply for electronics, mechanical engineering, information technology, and computer science.

Who can apply?

Students pursuing an MSc or equivalent degree in Biology and Chemistry must be in their third or fourth semester. Students pursuing a BE/BTech in related engineering disciplines must be in their seventh or eighth semester. Applicants must be under 28 years of age by November 14, 2026.

How much stipend will you get every month?

The internship will last six months. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 during this period, resulting in a total stipend of ₹30,000 for the entire program. Students will have the opportunity to work with senior DRDO officials on various projects and gain practical experience.

Selection will be done without written examination

There will be no written examination for this internship. Selection will be based on the candidates' eligibility and the information provided in their application. Interviews may be conducted via telephone or video conference if necessary. Only selected candidates will receive an offer letter.

Candidates must download and print the application form from the official notification. Fill in the form with personal information, educational qualifications, subject code, and internship information. Attach a passport-size photograph, sponsorship letter, detailed resume, Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank account details, and self-attested copies of all required documents.
