New Delhi: One of the most-awaited films of the year, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', aka 'Dhurandhar 2', will hit screens on March 19 with paid premieres on March 18. Several celebrities have already seen the film. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma on Wednesday shared that he watched 'Dhurandhar Part 2' on Tuesday night, and also praised it as the "birth of a new cinematic order."
After the special screening of the film on March 17, Ram Gopal Varma took to X and said that the Aditya Dhar directorial is a "Sholay x 100 level magnificence" that makes classics like 'Mughal-E-Azam' look like 'TV serials'.
In the post, RGV declared that all the greatest films made so far, from 'Mughal-E-Azam' to 'Sholay', would look like 'TV serials' compared to Aditya Dhar's latest work in the film 'Dhurandhar 2'.
Taking to X, Ram Gopal Varma said that, "After last nights watch of Dhurandhar 2 in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way, whether on it’s expected collections, audience euphoria, social influences, cinematic grammar breaking, and above all the psychological audio visual impact, it will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from MUGHAL E AZAM. onwards look like TV SERIALS."
Ram Gopal Varma loved the film so much that he even called it the 'birth of a new cinematic order'.
"This is the BIRTH of a NEW CINEMATIC ORDER and the ruthless extinction of everything that that ever existed before.in the previous WORLD of CINEMA," he added.
The filmmaker further said that, "The very spelling of the word DIRECTOR will start from Aditya Dhar name, and it will be prudent and wise for even STEVEN SPIELBERG and CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to drop everything they are doing, and catch Dhurandhar 2 FIRST DAY FiRST SHOW."
The trailer of 'Dhurandhar 2' showcases Ranveer Singh in a different avatar of Jaskirat Singh Rangi. In the trailer, the battle is to see who will take over Lyari.
'Dhurandhar 2' trailer also teases that Ranveer Singh is the next 'Lyari ka badshah' (king). The sequel of Dhurandhar showcases how Jaskirat handles situation from inside the gang to fight against a terror outfit.
The trailer ends with the catchy dialogue, “Now India will decide the future of Pakistan.”
