Mumbai: One of the most-awaited films of the year, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', aka 'Dhurandhar 2', after record-breaking paid premieres on Wednesday, hit the screens with a blast on Thursday. Now fans and Bollywood celebrities are praising Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh for the brilliant sequel.
The spy-action thriller, led by Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, drew large crowds in the theatres.
The film reveals the origin of Hamza Ali Mazari, aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi, which is played by Ranveer Singh, and also shows the backstory, while explaining the motivation. The film will explain the reason how Jaskirat turned into Hamza and will also reveal who is bade sahab.
During the special premiere on Wednesday, many celebrities watched 'Dhurandhar 2' and also praised the director, actors and casting director.
Actress Shilpa Shetty on Wednesday watched 'Dhurandhar 2' along with her mother and sister Shamita and said that "Every record is about to be broken. Aag lga dii."
Taking to Instagram, actor Kartik Aaryan showered praised on Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar, saying that "Dhurandhar The Revenge is Top Notch. Aditya Dhar has created an unforgettable cinematic experience and Ranveer Singh delivers a storm. A must watch."
Content creator Ashish Chanchlani while praising casting director Mukesh Chhabra said that he deserves a separate National Award just for the casting alone.
Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal also watched the film and shared their review on social media.
"Taking to X, Preity Zinta shared selfies from the theatre and said, "Just watched Dhurandhar 2 & all I wanna say is Revenge ho toh Dhurandhar jaisa ho warna na ho. Direction, Acting, music, editing, story, casting & every other department is MINDBLOWING."

Many fans who watched the first-day first-show of the film shared their reactions on social media.

After the edits, according to the certification details, the film has secured an 'A' rating, with a final runtime in India of 3 hours, 49 minutes, and 36 seconds.
The makers had submitted approximately 3 hours and 51 minutes version of the film to the CBFC.
After the additional cuts of around 1.3 minutes suggested by the board, the domestic version of the film is now more than 6 minutes shorter than the overseas cut, which has a runtime of approximately 3 hours and 55 minutes.
