Mumbai: The multi-starrer film 'Welcome to the Jungle' has released in theaters on Friday. It features Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, and Sunil Shetty, along with approximately 34 other actors, performing comedy. Directed by Ahmed Khan, it is the third installment in the Welcome series. The story was written by Neeraj Vora.
The story of 'Welcome to the Jungle' begins with the making of a flop film to avoid tax evasion. Interestingly, Devdas, played by Rajpal Yadav and Paresh Rawal, is chosen to make the movie. Devdas, who made the film with a budget of Rs 20,000, is given a budget of Rs 2,000 crore. Then, flop actor Akshay Kumar is chosen for the film. An actor who is forced to do item songs in Bhojpuri cinema, is made the hero of the film. Majnu's brother Romeo and Uday's brother Yeda Anna, played by Arshad Warsi and Sunil Shetty, are also the heroes of the film. Akshay Kumar's father's backstory is also shown. The film also includes the story of Rajpal Yadav taking out a loan.
To make the film look realistic, army training takes place, and it's quite funny and entertaining. But then something happens and the film's shooting must be completed in one day. A village targeted by terrorists is chosen for this purpose. Then something happens that conflates the shooting with reality. Overall, the story doesn't require much thinking.
From mocking the paparazzi to Akshay Kumar's flop hero tag, Dhurandhar's success, and even creating a Tees Maar Khan-like atmosphere, Director Ahmed Khan has done everything possible. Akshay Kumar is the heart of the film. With his double role and lisping tongue, the actor delivers a truly entertaining performance.
Akshay Kumar is a key part of the trailer. The reunion of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Sunil Shetty after a long time is one of the most talked-about aspects of the trailer. The three actors rekindle their old chemistry, bringing back memories of their famous trio in "Hera Pheri."
