2 Unidentified men shot Punjabi actress Tania's father in Moga; Actress requests Privacy

Entertainment News: Famous Punjabi actress Tania's stepfather, a doctor, was fired at by two men who arrived at his clinic in Kot Ise Khan on Friday afternoon, according to sources. He is at the hospital and is currently said to be in stable condition. Dr Aniljit Singh Kamboj even examined the offender before he pulled out a gun and fired at least two shots at him.

According to eyewitness reports, he was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Moga, where he remains in critical condition. According to an eyewitness report to Punjab Mania, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle and pretended to be patients.

Superintendent's statement

Moga district police chief, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Ajay Gandhi, said the bullets hit him in the chest and in the arm. “He remains hospitalized, and doctors attending to him termed his condition as stable. We are working to ascertain the cause behind the crime,” said the SSP. According to investigators, the offenders escaped on a motorcycle following the attack. They had been noticed roaming around the facility before the incident, the investigation has shown. "We're investigating all possible angles, including extortion threats," the SSP further said.

The Punjabi actress put a story on her official Instagram handle that read, "this is an extremely critical and emotional time for her and her family. We kindly request the media to respect their privacy… and refrain from speculation or creating stories around the situation.” Tania is most known for her roles in Punjabi films, including Bajre Da Sitta, Sufna, Rabb Da Radio 2, Guddiyan Patole, and Oye Makhna.
