Aamir Khan confirms 3 Idiots sequel after a decade with Rajkumar Hirani

Mumbai: Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has finally put all the speculations going around the sequel of his film 3 Idiots to an end. Aamir Khan has finally confirmed the sequel of the 2009 blockbuster film starring R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. In another interesting details related to the film is that it will be directed by the original director i.e., Rajkumar Hirani.

As per the reports, the sequel of 3 Idiots will take the story forward 10 years after the events of the first part. Meanwhile, there is also buzz that the original stars that is Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R Madhavan will also be part of the 3 Idiots sequel. Reports also suggests that the much awaited film will be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Aamir Khan made this revelation during an interview with Amar Ujala. Confirming the sequel, Aamir Khan called it as a beautiful story. Talking about the same, Aamir said, “Raju is working on 3 Idiots 2 right now. I’ve heard the story and it’s wonderful. The script still needs some work, but the story itself is really good — unusual, with the same humour as the first film. It follows the characters from 3 Idiots, picking up 10 years later."

Further talking about his role of Phunsukh Wangdu in the sequel, Aamir Khan said, “It’s a beautiful story conceived by Raju and Abhijat. I’m looking forward to it, and to playing Phunsukh Wangdu again.”

Talking about Aamir Khan's previous film, he recently made a comeback to the big screen with his film Sitaare Zameen Par. Meanwhile, his last film was Laal Singh Chaddha in 2022.
