Mumbai: As India marked its 77th Republic Day on Monday, patriotic greetings poured in from film stars across the country. Actors from Bollywood and southern film industries paid tributes to the soldiers for protecting the country and shared messages of pride, unity and love for the nation with on social media.
Actors from both the industries like Kamal Haasan, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and others wished their fans on social media.
Actor Anil Kapoor wished his fans by sharing a picture of a fighter jet on X and saying "Happy Republic Day! Jai Hind."
Actor Suniel Shetty shared a video of people opening a flag in the ground with the caption, "Freedom gave us a voice. The Republic gave us responsibility. May we always honour it. For the tricolour. For the nation. Always Jai Hind. Jai Bharat."
Actor Akshay Kumar shared a video with a message posted in Hindi, urging people to proudly call themselves Indians.
Taking to X, he wrote, "Say with pride, we are Indians! Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!"
Actor Hrithik Roshan shared a short message in Hindi, saying, "Heartfelt Republic Day wishes to all of you. Jai Hind."
Varun Dhawan shared a photo from his latest release 'Border 2' on Instagram and wished his fans in Hindi saying, "Happy Republic Day." And also shared a video from the film on Stories.
Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a picture of Indian flag on Instagram stories with the caption, "Happy Republic Day."
Actress Sonam Kapoor also shared a Indian flag photo and wrote, Happy Republic Day."
Jr NTR kept his message short and strong, declaring pride in the Constitution and the tricolour, saying "77th Republic Day!Proud of our Constitution. Proud to be Indian. Jai Hind!"
Kamal Haasan shared a note on X, saying, "The Indian Republic was born when our forefathers chose to throw off the imperial yoke and govern themselves through the Constitution. Its strength lies in respecting diversity, federalism, and the democratic spirit. As long as the Constitution lives in our conduct, the Republic remains strong. Happy Republic Day to all my fellow Indians."
Chiranjeevi in his post on X, asked fans to "honour our Constitution and stand united for a stronger, progressive India."
Ram Charan shared a small message on X and urged people to "move forward together with unity, responsibility and pride."
Mohanlal also wished his fans on Republic Day and "reminded that India’s greatest strength is its people."
