Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma receives threating email from Lawrence Bishnoi gang

Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan's brother-in-law, Ayush Sharma, has received a threatening email. The email appears to be from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to reports, the Mumbai Crime Branch stated on Wednesday that Ayush received the threat email, and the sender claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The Mumbai Crime Branch stated that Ayush Sharma received the threat email via Proton Mail from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, while Ranveer Singh received the WhatsApp voice note using a VPN.

What did the accused demand?

The threat to Ayush comes shortly after Ranveer Singh received a threatening voice message on WhatsApp demanding crores of rupees. Following the threat, security was increased outside his home and the police launched an investigation. Officials stated that the sender sent the voice note via VPN to make it difficult to trace his location. The man claimed to be associated with the Bishnoi gang.

According to reports, in both cases, the email sent to Ayush and the WhatsApp message sent to Ranveer, the sender's identity was concealed and different digital tools were used.

What happened in the case of attack on Rohit Shetty's house?

It should be noted that prior to the threats, filmmaker Rohit Shetty's house was shot at on January 31st. Five bullets were fired at his house. Furthermore, five people were arrested in connection with this incident. After their police custody ended on Wednesday, they were produced before the Special MCOCA Court, where they were remanded in police custody until February 17th.

In this same case, the police had arrested a man named Asaram Fasale, who was a weapon supplier. Investigators claimed he had been working with the Bishnoi gang for four years.

What happened outside Salman Khan's house?

Before Rohit, shots were also fired outside Salman Khan's house, Galaxy Apartments, in 2024. Two men arrived on a motorcycle and fired four rounds before fleeing. The Bishnoi gang subsequently claimed responsibility for the attack via social media. Six people were later arrested in this case.
