Kangana Ranaut Hits Back At Hrithik Roshan Over 'Sorry' Trend; Says 'Stop Adding Fuel To The Fire'

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan are once again at the centre of controversy after an exchange of comments on social media has brought their past relationship into focus. After 10 years, the controversy between the actors has ignited again. Kangana has recently hit back at Hrithik and also asked him to "stop adding fuel to the fire and embarrassing your partner."

What is the controversy?

A trend began on social media recently with the title 'Sorry Hrithik', and targeted Kangana. The controversy began after Hrithik reacted to the viral trend, "We need to apologise to Hrithik Roshan", on social media.

The actor replied to an influencer's post, by saying that taking a stand against one person because you don’t connect anymore with other is part of a very systemic larger thing within society; the issue is we don’t discuss this and stick to simplistic notions.

In the comments section of the post of the influencer, who started the viral trend, Hrithik responded, "My friend, siding with 'A' just cause you don't like 'B' anymore is a small part of the larger systemic issue plaguing our society. I'll wait, for when the context to it is the right one, and motivated by facts. That would be fair. But then again, who cares anymore right?"

How is Kangana linked?

The viral trend, 'We need to apologise to Hrithik Roshan', is seen as a reference to the highly publicised legal dispute between Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut in 2016.

How did Kangana Ranaut react?

While addressing Hrithik's post, Kangana shared a post on her Instagram story and questioned his response.

Taking to Instagram, Kangana posted a story stating, "Dear Hrithik, I am happy that you have found your perfect match, Saba Azad and you both look great together."

"You are in a committed relationship and it doesn’t suit you to tease a woman like this, instead you should condemn all those who are harassing and bullying me using your name. Stop adding fuel to fire and embarrassing your partner, hope better sense prevails and you stop making unreasonable comments," Kangana also wrote.

What was Kangana-Hrithik controversy?

In 2016 when Kangana opened up about Hrithik and in an interview said that he was her “silly ex”, following which the actor revealed the truth that there was no such relationship. 

Later, a notice was filed by Hrithik seeking an apology, which was met by a counter-notice by Kangana alleging they had a relationship, which he was trying to deny and cover up. 

The matter remained unresolved publicly and continued to be one of Bollywood’s most talked-about celebrity disputes.
