Karan Aujla Song Controversy:  Two big names of Punjabi music industry Karan Aujla and Honey Singh are caught in a new controversy. It is alleged that words that are against the dignity of women were used in their songs. Punjab Women Commission has summoned them by sending a notice. Karan Aujla was abroad but now he has returned to India. Honey Singh has also been asked to appear. This matter is now being discussed from social media to the court.

Women's commission's strict stance

Chairperson of Punjab Women Commission Lali Gill clearly said that she herself has heard these songs on social media and the language used in them is not tolerable in any way. She wrote to the police that both the singers should be presented personally and an investigation should be conducted. The commission says that such songs have a negative impact on the thinking of the youth.

Police submitted the report

Punjab Police AIG Yadvinder Singh Sidhu has submitted the report to the commission. The report states that both Karan Aujla and Honey Singh have apologized for the lyrics of their songs and will appear in person soon. However, the commission says that just an apology is not enough, responsibility has to be fixed.

'MF Gabru' and 'Millionaire' controversy

The commission alleged that Honey Singh's song 'Millionaire' and Karan Aujla's 'MF Gabru' used wrong and derogatory words for women. The commission ordered the DGP to get it investigated by a senior officer of Chandigarh Police and take legal action.

Have been in controversies before

This is not the first time that both the artists have come into controversy. In December 2024, Karan Aujla was accused of promoting alcohol during a show in Chandigarh. The matter went to the High Court and the police stopped him from singing such songs in the show. There was also an objection against Honey Singh in March 2025, when his show on Martyrdom Day was disliked by political parties.

Cleaning up the singers

Both the singers have said that their intention was not to hurt anyone. They say that the songs were only for entertainment, but if anyone's feelings have been hurt then they express regret. However, people on social media are divided - some are in favor of forgiveness, while some want strict punishment.

The days to come are important

Now everyone's eyes are on what action the commission takes next. If the allegations are proved in the investigation, then strict action can be taken against both of them, which can even include a ban on shows and songs. In the coming days, this case can prove to be a big turning point for the Punjab music industry.
