The famous occult museum once owned by late paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren now has a new owner. Comedian Matt Rife has taken over the spooky property and has become the official guardian of its haunted collection.

Rife, who is famous for his comedy shows, recently shared the news on social media. His purchase includes not just the museum but also the well-known Annabelle doll and other creepy items said to be connected to real paranormal events.

The objects in the museum are believed to be from real cases the Warrens worked on, many of which inspired the popular Conjuring horror movie series.

Rife Shares His Love for the Paranormal

In his post, Rife said he had officially purchased Ed and Lorraine Warren’s home and their Occult Museum. He also shared that he would be the legal guardian of the haunted collection—including the Annabelle doll—for the next five years, along with his friend @eltoncastee.

Rife went on to say he has always been fascinated by ghosts and haunted stories. He called The Conjuring films his all-time favourite movies and said it’s an honour to take over a place with such strong links to ghost stories and supernatural history.

He added, “Ed and Lorraine Warren played a huge role in bringing ghost stories and demonology into the public eye. They’re connected to some of the most talked-about haunted cases in history.”

Museum Will Open for Overnight Visitors

Rife also mentioned that the home will remain open for people to visit. Guests can stay overnight or join guided tours to learn about the haunted items and the strange history of the place.

He posted several photos of the museum's inside, including ones of Ed and Lorraine. One standout moment in the pictures was Rife and Elton standing next to the Annabelle doll. The doll stayed locked in its glass case with a label that reads, “Warning: Positively Do Not Open.”

New Ownership as New Film Nears Release

The American Magazine noted that the museum was open to the public before but had to close in 2019 because of zoning problems. This new ownership comes just as Warner Bros. is preparing the final chapter of The Conjuring series. The next movie, titled The Conjuring: Last Rites, will focus on the Warrens’ investigation of the Smurl case.

A trailer for the movie was recently released and briefly shows the Annabelle doll again. The Conjuring: Last Rites is scheduled to hit cinemas next month.
