New Delhi: The troubles facing Bollywood's famous singer and rapper, Badshah, show no signs of abating. On one hand, the threat of arrest by the Haryana Police looms over him; on the other, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has now issued a death threat against him. According to reports, while claiming responsibility for a recent firing incident in Panipat, the Bishnoi gang has also released a note specifically addressed to him.

What is the Lawrence Bishnoi gang's threat?

In the note issued to Badshah, the Bishnoi gang wrote: "Jai Mahakal, Jai Shri Ram. Greetings to all brothers.
I—Randeep Malik—and Anil Pandit (USA) claim responsibility for the firing that took place today at the office of Garry and Shanky—who are involved in Western Union (Hawala operations)—on Asandh Road, Panipat. These individuals were damaging the country's economy by using the Hawala system to funnel the nation's money abroad. We had previously warned them via phone calls, but they failed to heed our warnings. Today's incident is merely a trailer; the full movie is yet to come. Anyone involved in Hawala operations should mend their ways while there is still time, or else they will face dire consequences."

Furthermore, issuing a direct threat to Badshah, the note stated: "Singer Badshah, you have attempted to tarnish the culture of Haryana. We showed you a 'trailer' at your club back in 2024; next time, we will put a bullet straight through your forehead." Additionally, the post includes salutations to the "Lawrence Bishnoi Group" and lists the names of the gangsters involved.

Why did Women's Commission Take Action Against Badshah?

It is worth noting that Badshah is currently embroiled in a major controversy regarding his Haryanvi song, "Tateeri." The Haryana State Commission for Women has adopted a very strict stance on this matter. The Commission has issued orders to the police stating that if Badshah fails to cooperate with the investigation, he is to be arrested immediately. Furthermore, the Commission's Chairperson, Renu Bhatia, has directed that—should the need arise—Badshah's passport be confiscated to prevent him from leaving the country.

Has Badshah Apologized?

Following widespread protests across the country regarding the song 'Tateeri', Badshah has already issued an apology for the track. He even released a video specifically to formally express his regrets. In which he described himself as a "proud Haryanvi" and stated, "It was never my intention to speak in such a manner about any child or woman from Haryana."
