Bengaluru: In a development which has rocked both the Kannada and Tamil television industries, star actor Nandini CM has reportedly died by suicide at her residence in Bengaluru on Monday.
The family is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. However, the police have reportedly said that the actor has left behind a death note in which she apologised to her mother. Police officials also told the media that
Nandini had been battling health-related issues in recent times.
In her suicide note which is addressed to her parents, Nandini has stated that she was being pressured into marriage for which she was not mentally prepared. The actor has also revealed that she had been suffering from depression due to other issues.
The police are examining the contents of the note and have refused to divulge further details before investigating further.
The incident has triggered shock waves in the television industry and several actors from the Tamil television industry are expected to pay their last respects at Nandini’s residence in Bengaluru.
A native of Kottur in Karnataka, Nandini appeared in supporting roles in several popular Kannada television serials, including Jeeva Hoovagide, Sangharsha, Madhumagalu, and Neenade Naa.
