Mumbai: Veteran actor Prakash Raj's mother, Suvarnalata, passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 86 in Bengaluru due to age-related health problems. Upon receiving the news, family members gathered at her home.
Prakash Raj's mother, Suvarnalata, breathed her last at her last home in Bengaluru on Sunday.
According to the family, Suvarnalata was 86 years old and was living at her residence in Bengaluru, when she passed away.
Her last rites were held in Bengaluru on Sunday evening, with relatives and well-wishers.
Suvarnalata had been battling several health issues. Earlier, Prakash Raj had revealed that his mother had suffered from memory loss after brain cyst surgery and couldn't even recognize her close family members.
Following the news, fans and well-wishers, with Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed their condolences to the family.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan office, while paying tribute on social media, wrote: "I am deeply saddened to learn that the mother of the renowned actor Shri prakashraaj, Suvarnalatha, has passed away. I pray to the Almighty that her soul attains eternal peace. I extend my deepest condolences to Shri Prakash Raj Garu, who is grieving the loss of his mother, and to all the members of his family – Pawan Kalyan."
While remembering Swarnalatha as a strong and inspiring woman, many actors and filmmakers from the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada film industries have shared messages of support and condolences.
On the work front, Prakash Raj has several big projects lined up. The actor recently appeared in 'They Call Him OG' and 'Devara: Part 1'. Currently, he is working on 'Drishyam 3'.
