Ramayana: From Vibhishana to Maricha and Meghnad, know who is playing whose character?

New Delhi: Part 1 of Namit Malhotra's film "Ramayana" is has released in theaters on November 5. The film's trailer and songs have already gone viral, and the names of most of the main actors have already been revealed. However, there are still several actors about whom people are unaware. So, let's find out today which actors will be playing which roles in "Ramayana." We'll also learn which of these characters will be seen in Part 1, while some will only be glimpsed in the Part 2 trailer.

Main characters of Ramayana

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Ramayana" stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, while South superstar Sai Pallavi plays Sita. Superstar Yash will play Ravana, while Ravi Dubey will portray Laxman. While all these actors will be seen in Part 1, Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman in Part 2. However, we might catch a glimpse of him in the post-credits scenes of Part 1.

Arun Govil as King Dasharatha

Actor Arun Govil, who played Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, will be seen playing King Dasharatha in the movie "Ramayana." A glimpse of him as the emperor of Ayodhya and father of Lord Rama has already been shown in the trailer. Most of Arun Govil's role will be seen in Part 1 of the film. Part 2 may include glimpses in flashbacks.

Lara Dutta as Queen Kaikeyi

Lara Dutta also has a significant role in the film. She will play King Dasharatha's beloved queen, Kaikeyi, the same one who, under Manthara's influence, demands exile for Lord Rama. A glimpse of her was given in the film's trailer, but we will only see her dialogues and actions in the movie.

Sheeba Chaddha - Manthra

Shabi's character will be crucial in the film. Sheeba plays Kaikeyi's cunning maid, whose cunning and scheming changed the fate of Ayodhya. The character of Manthara, who shaped the entire Ramayana, will be portrayed in depth in the film. Sheeba's character will also be in Part 1.

Indira Krishnan - Kausalya

Indira Krishnan plays Lord Rama's mother, Kausalya, in the film. A glimpse of her from the film has already been shown. We will also see her role in Part 1 of the film.

Adinath Kothare - Bharat

Adinath's role in the film will be that of Shri Ram's younger brother Bharat, who carries on the royal duties behind Ram's back, keeping his sandals. Adinath's role will also be seen in Part 1 of the film, but if the makers make Part 3, he may appear again.

Vivek Oberoi - Vidyutjivha

Vivek Oberoi has been cast as Surpanakha's husband, Vidyutjiva, in the film. He was also glimpsed in the film's trailer, and his role will be seen in Part 1.

Additionally, Faisal Malik will play Kumbhakarna in Ramayan. Kunal Kapoor will play Indra, the king of the gods, and Saurabh Sachdeva will play Maricha.
