Late-Night Gunshots Outside Director Rohit Shetty’s House, Investigation Underway

Mumbai: An incident of late-night firing has come to light outside the residence of famous Bollywood film director Rohit Shetty in Mumbai. According to the police, at around 12:43 am, unidentified assailants fired four rounds outside his house in the Juhu area, after which there was panic in the entire area.

What happened that night?

As soon as information about the incident was received, Mumbai Police immediately reached the spot, and as a precaution, security was tightened outside the house. Additional police force has been deployed nearby, and people coming and going are being monitored. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of anyone being injured in this firing.

What action did the police take on the spot?

Police officials say that who the attackers were and what their motive was are not yet clear. The investigation teams are looking into the case from every aspect. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby is being scrutinized so that the suspects can be identified.

Forensic team has also been called to the spot, which is busy collecting evidence. Some videos have also surfaced on social media, in which police vehicles, barricades and soldiers deployed outside Shetty's house are seen.

Was Rohit Shetty present at home at that time?

It is not yet clear whether Rohit Shetty was at home at the time of the incident or not. Police are interrogating his staff and security personnel. Till now no official statement has been issued by Rohit Shetty or his family on this incident.
