Seth Rogen Wants Vin Diesel to Join Season 2 of 'The Studio'

Seth Rogen, co-creator and star of Apple TV+ series The Studio, has expressed interest in casting Vin Diesel for the show's second season. In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rogen highlighted Diesel as a dream guest, noting how rarely the Fast & Furious star appears outside his iconic Dominic Toretto role. Rogen humorously invited Diesel to collaborate, suggesting his appearance would bring unexpected fun to the show’s celebrity-packed world. The Studio season one included cameos by Charlize Theron, Martin Scorsese, and Zac Efron, and season two promises more surprises.

Actor and filmmaker Seth Rogen, who stars in and co-created the Apple TV Plus series The Studio, has revealed he would love to bring Vin Diesel on board for the show’s upcoming second season. During a recent chat on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rogen shared his excitement about the show being renewed and talked about dream guest appearances. One name he mentioned stood out—action star Vin Diesel.

Why Vin Diesel?

Rogen explained his interest in working with Diesel, best known for playing Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious movies. He joked that Diesel is so strongly linked to the high-speed action series that it would be fun and surprising to see him do something completely different. "I think Vin Diesel would be hilarious and fun to work with," Rogen said during the interview. “He’s mainly known for the Fast & Furious films, so seeing him step into a new role could be really exciting.”

A Light-Hearted Invite

Rogen didn’t miss the chance to reach out to Diesel on air. With his usual sense of humour, he addressed Diesel directly, assuming he might be watching the show while driving one of his signature muscle cars. "I assume you’re watching this while cruising in a ‘65 Pontiac,” Rogen joked. “If you're interested, maybe we could have a Zoom call. I’ll record your bald head onto my hard drive.”

What’s Next for 'The Studio'

The studio made a strong impression with its first season, which featured surprise cameos from stars like Charlize Theron, Zac Efron, and even Martin Scorsese. The series follows Matt Remick, a movie studio head, and includes plenty of satire about the entertainment industry. With the second season confirmed, fans can expect more big-name appearances, clever humour, and maybe even a new side of Vin Diesel—if Rogen gets his wish.
