Who is the Inspiration behind Anupam Kher's Tanvi the Great?

Entertainment news: Anupam Kher's directorial debut, Tanvi the Great, trailer was released on June 30. After a noteworthy praise at the Cannes film festival, Kher's latest movie is set to release in theaters on July 18. On the trailer launch of the film in Mumbai, the actor made an important revelation about the film. Anupam Kher, who has been in the news for quite some time regarding his latest film, shared who inspired him to make the film. The film is Kher's dream project. 

Plot of the Movie

The lead Character, Tanvi Raina, is a young woman who is determined to honour her father's memory and to fulfill his unaccomplished dreams. Her father, an Indian Army officer, aspired to salute the Indian Flag at Siachin, the world's highest battlefield. Tanvi, who suffers from autism, took it upon herself to fulfil this dream. However, she is faced with societal perceptions about autism and the physical and mental demands of the journey.

Inspiration behind the film

On the trailer launch of the movie, Kher revealed who inspired him to make this movie. Anupam Kher said, "Tanvi is the story of my niece. The idea to make this movie came when she was 13, now she is 17. It took me 5 years to bring this story to a film. In the film, Tanvi's character is played by Shubhangi, who has been selected from Anupam Kher’s acting school.

The film features several renowned artists, including Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Karan Tacker, and Pallavi Joshi. The movie has a wave of excitement in the actor's fan base, who are eagerly waiting for its release. 

Apart from directing and producing the film, Anupam Kher also plays the character of Colonel Pratap Raina in it. The movie explores the themes of strength and resilience.It presents a revolutionary depiction of Autism as a remarkable strength.
