Tej Pratap Yadav Breaks Silence on Family Rift, Speaks of ‘Betrayal’ and Emotional Pain

Mumbai: The Bhojpuri star-studded reality show "Bhojpuri Bawal" is being widely discussed these days. Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) national president Tej Pratap Yadav's unseen side is being seen on the show. Responding to a question about discord within family while he was on the show, he expressed his pain. He candidly admitted that the hustle and bustle of politics and his desire for power have strained his relationship with his father and brother.

What did Tej Pratap Yadav say?

In a recent promo of the show, when Tej Pratap Yadav was asked, "There's some power in a chair, doesn't it? It can cause conflict within the family?" He replied, "The real story of Baahubali is the same story that happened to me."

He was then further asked, "Who were you, Bahubali? Did anyone betray you, Kattappa?" Tej Pratap replied, "We were Bahubali." He also answered the question about betrayal in the affirmative. He said, "If there hadn't been betrayal, how would the party have been formed? Kattappa is busy killing Bahubali. Here, people salute the rising sun, but who cares about the setting sun?"

Why did JJD party have to be formed?

During this meeting, Tej Pratap was asked about the reason behind forming the JJD party. He questioned the perceived discrimination between his two sons. He asked why he was appointed Health Minister and he (Tejashwi Yadav) Deputy CM. Tej Pratap didn't shy away from answering these questions. He openly admitted the party was already been taken over by people.

Is Tej Pratap upset with his father Lalu Yadav?

On being asked whether he had shared the issues with his father Lalu Prasad Yadav and his mother Rabri Devi, the young politician responded, “Everyone’s eyes and mouth are not tied, they’re open, people are seeing it.”

The matter didn't end there. He was further questioned, whether Lalu Prasad Yadav had completely ignored him after seeing his name missing from the poster. The question also arose: is he upset that people are now distancing themselves from him? Upon hearing this Tej Pratap Yadav fell silent for a moments. He appeared in thought and the pain of being away from his own family was clearly visible, on his face.
