Mumbai: Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt tied the knot on July 6. Aamir Khan's third wedding took place at his home, attended by close friends and family. Aamir Khan's friend and 'Lagaan' actor, Amin Hajee, was a witness to Aamir Khan's third wedding. He told Rediff.com that Kiran Rao was out of the country at the time of the wedding; she was in the United Kingdom. Azad had traveled from there to India for the wedding.

Regarding Reena Dutta's absence, Amin remarked that some absences are natural. He stated that this, too, is a way of showing respect and love for someone.

Amin further mentioned that traditional rituals were not followed at Aamir and Gauri's wedding. Many people asked if there was a 'Sangeet' or other such functions, but there was nothing of the sort. We spent time together, talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. It is worth noting that Aamir Khan introduced Gauri to the media as his girlfriend on his 60th birthday. As for his first marriage, Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986; their marriage lasted until 2002. Subsequently, Aamir Khan married Kiran Rao in 2005. Kiran and Aamir decided to separate in 2021.
