With Father’s Day falling today, 15 June, many people are looking for special ways to celebrate this day with fathers and make them feel special. Among the popular choices, a rich and indulgent chocolate cake is often a go-to option. However, it is not every day that you open a food delivery app like Zomato or Swiggy to order a cake, and it is priced at Rs 5 lakh. This makes everyone disbelieve after seeing the price.

The screenshot of this unusual pricing quickly went viral on social media, which shows a special hazelnut chocolate cake (500 gm) being listed for Rs 500000, prompting disbelief among people. People are sharing the picture of the same on the internet, and it is getting hilarious reactions from people across different social media platforms.

How Much Did Other Cakes Cost?

Interestingly, it was only this particular 500-gram Father’s Day special hazelnut chocolate flavour that was marked at an extraordinary price of Rs 5 lakh. Other varieties available on the same delivery app were reasonably rated — for example, the Butterscotch Cake weighed 500 grams and was listed at Rs 499, while the 500-gram Red Velvet Cake was selling for Rs 599.

Soon after the post went viral on X, the hashtag #5LakhCake started trending on social media. Soon after, several users reacted to the price of the cake.

Social Media Erupts in Hilarious Reactions

As soon as the screenshot started spreading across platforms, the #5LakhCake trend started making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter). Netizens responded in their own humorous style. “Papa made a video of the cake and sent it to the CA — ‘How will this be adjusted in accounts?’” quipped a user. Another person commented, “Dad’s reaction after seeing the price: ‘Son, that could’ve been a down payment for a 2BHK flat!'"

Some other comments are, "EMI bhi bharunga, cake bhi katega, papa bhi gussa karenge," a person tweeted. Meanwhile, Reddit was also filled with humorous comments, with a few commenting, "5000 me 5 cakes aajaenge and 5 lakh me 5 iPhones lol." Another wrote, “For 5 lakh, I could buy a whole bakery in my town!” One of the comments read, "Goodbye forever, decimal points."
