Afghanistan News:When the morning should have started with the usual noise of life, the land of Afghanistan once again trembled. At 8:54 am, the tremor coming from within the bosom of the Hindukush mountain range once again brought the Afghan people under the shadow of fear. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 4.2  not so great that buildings would collapse, but definitely enough to wake people up and raise the question in the mind: "Again?"

The earth gave warning in the valleys bordering Pakistan

The earthquake’s epicenter lay approximately 140 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface, a depth far from ordinary. Tremors originating this deep typically lose much of their intensity before reaching the surface. But this did not happen today. The tremor was felt in areas bordering Pakistan like Bajaur, Khyber and Peshawar. In many areas, people came out of their houses in fear.

Although there is no report of any loss of life or property, but the psychological trauma is gradually becoming clearly visible on the citizens of this region.

Earthquakes in 4 days: This is not just a statistic, it is a signal

Afghanistan has experienced its fourth earthquake in just the past four days. Even though their intensity was moderate, it is the result of the continuous collision of two tectonic plates. The Indian and Eurasian plates. This area falls in seismic zones IV and V, and frequent earthquakes are a sign that energy is accumulating under the earth  and if it is released all at once, it can cause devastation.

Geologists believe that this area is now becoming a "Precursor Zone"  that is, an area where small tremors are preparing for a big earthquake in the future.

Earthquakes do not kill, negligence does

Today's tremor is a warning, but it also raises the question whether Afghanistan is prepared for such natural disasters? The country is already struggling with political instability, limited health services, and lack of infrastructure. There is no concrete awareness program for hazards like earthquakes. In villages, people avoid the word earthquake by calling it "the wrath of Allah".

Afghanistan needs: consciousness, preparation and technology

Today's incident is not a shock, but a warning. Now is the time when the Afghan government and international agencies should invest together in earthquake early warning systems, emergency training, and making local structures earthquake resistant. If this area is not taken seriously even now, then next time perhaps not the tremors but the silence of the graveyard will be the subject of the report.

The land of Afghanistan is shaking, but is our consciousness also shaking? This is not just a news, it is a question for the future. Are we listening to the unheard warnings of nature?
