New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an AirAsia flight traveling from Vietnam to Thailand was forced to make an emergency landing when a Russian-speaking passenger stripped down to his underwear and attempted to jump from the aircraft. The incident took place on Thursday (January 29) aboard Flight 647 which had taken off from Nha Trang in Vietnam, following a delay of over an hour and 40 minutes.

What happened on the AirAsia flight?

A video of the incident revealed that the man threatened the flight crew and acted in an erratic manner. The Russian man was seen shouting aggressively and yelling in English: "Don't touch me."

Dressed in nothing but his black underwear, the man continued to act in an agressive manner and, at one point, ordered the cabin crew members to unlock the exit door of the aircraft. Despite the best efforts of the crew and passengers to de-escalate the situation, the man demanded to get off the plane.
