Shubhanshu Shukla’s Historic Space Mission Delayed- Axiom-4 to Launch on June 11

A new chapter is going to be added to India's space trip, but some time. AXIOM-4 Mission, which is going to deliver Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla to Lucknow to the International Space Station (ISS), will now be launched one day after the scheduled time at 5:30 pm on 11 June 2025.

International News: A new chapter is going to be added to India's space trip, but some time. AXIOM-4 Mission, which is going to deliver Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla to Lucknow to the International Space Station (ISS), will now be launched one day after the scheduled time at 5:30 pm on 11 June 2025. Earlier this mission was about to fly on June 10, but due to bad weather warnings, it has been postponed at the moment. It is not just a technical change, but a symbol of the return of the manned space mission for India after 41 years - a chance that is a historic step towards national pride and scientific achievements.

Joint participation of ISRO & NASA

The AXIOM-4 mission is being operated in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the American Space Agency NASA, which is leading the American company Axiom Space. The mission will be launched from the Fallcon-9 rocket of Spacex from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan said on Monday, "The safety of the mission is a priority due to adverse conditions of the weather. So it became necessary to postpone the launch for a day."

Shubhanshu Shukla: first Indian to travel in space after 41 years

AXIOM-4 Mission is special for India as Shubhanshu Shukla is the first Indian to travel in space after 41 years. Earlier in the year 1984, Rakesh Sharma stepped into space with Soyuz Yan of Russia. The mission includes Shubhanshu "Shuks" as a pilot with callsine. He is accompanied by experienced US commander Pegi Whitson, Hungary's Tigor Kapu and Slavosha Ujnanski-Visnivski of Poland.

14 day science, research & co-operation mission

AXIOM-4 is a 14-day mission, the main objective of which is to strengthen international cooperation and conduct scientific research on ISS. For countries like India, Poland and Hungary, this mission is a sign of symbolic 'return', which are re -active in human space missions.
