International News: The interim government of Bangladesh is going through a serious political crisis these days. The resignation of the country's chief interim administrator, Mohammad Yunus, has created a panic in political circles. Amidst these speculations, Younus on Saturday convened an informal but important emergency meeting with his ministers. The meeting was held at the Planning Commission Office in Dhaka.

Yunus expressed his desire to resign

World-famous Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus, on Thursday night, publicly indicated he was considering the resignation in a conversation with the leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) formed by student organizations. He said, "The current situation is such that it has become difficult for me to work." Earlier, he expressed a similar feeling in the day-to-day cabinet meeting.

NCP leaders' appeal: Younus should remain in post

NCP convenor Nahid Islam said after meeting Younus that he has appealed to Yunus to continue in his post, keeping in mind the future of the country and the spirit of mass movement. Nahid said, "I requested Yunus Saheb to remain strong for the stability, security, and democracy of the country. Their leadership is necessary to meet the expectations of the people."

Advisors also stopped with resignation

Younus's interim cabinet advisors have also advised him not to resign. In a two-hour-long meeting on Saturday, he urged Yunus that he should remain in his post until the major responsibilities of the interim government related to elections, justice, and reform were fulfilled.

Preparation to meet opposition

On the other hand, Yunus has decided to meet with senior leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami on Saturday evening as part of efforts to resolve the political crisis. The meeting will be held in Yunus's official residence, Jamuna. This is a clear indication that Younus wants to resolve the existing deadlock through dialogue.

Opposition pressure on election

BNP and other opposition parties are constantly demanding that the interim government declare a clear roadmap for the upcoming general elections. They allege that the government is adopting the strategy of Talamatol, which is increasing the instability in the country.

The speculation of resignation created a stir in Bangladesh politics

The speculation of Mohammad Yunus's resignation has created a stir in Bangladeshi politics. However, Younus still remains in his position and is trying to find a solution by communicating with political parties. It will be interesting to see whether their meetings with the opposition can take the country in a solid direction. However, Bangladesh is currently going through a difficult period of political uncertainty.
