Washington: The United States does not require China's assistance regarding the conflict with Iran. This was stated by US. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He clarified that President Donald Trump, who was in China for high-level meetings, did not discuss this matter at all. Trump did not seek any form of assistance from Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Rubio, the U.S. President did not engage in any discussions with his Chinese counterpart regarding aid in the event of a conflict with Iran. He further added that the United States does not, in fact, require such assistance.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio asserted that if Iran believes the United States is prepared to offer any concessions in a potential agreement, it is making a grave error. Iran will not be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons at any cost. Furthermore, he categorically stated that Iran should not harbor the illusion that it can establish control over the Strait of Hormuz. Regardless of the circumstances, the United States will not enter into a disadvantageous agreement with Iran.

Prior to Trump's departure, the two leaders held a private meeting at Zhongnanhai—the heavily guarded official residence of the Chinese President in Beijing. This marks the first visit by a U.S. President to China in nine years; Trump himself was the last U.S. President to visit China, having done so in 2017.

According to President Xi, China and the United States also reached a consensus on enhancing communication and fostering cooperation on various international and regional issues. The Chinese leader stated that this visit is beneficial for enhancing mutual understanding, deepening mutual trust, and improving the well-being of the people of both countries. It is reported that, during a private meeting, Trump expressed his desire to maintain an honest and in-depth dialogue with Xi. He also expressed his gratitude for the invitation to Zhongnanhai.
