Washington: Trump once again claimed that he had ended the growing tension between India and Pakistan. Speaking at the press conference, he said that his initiative led to a ceasefire between the two countries, which saved the lives of 3 to 5 crore people.

In May last year, a terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 civilians were killed. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor and attacked the hideouts of terrorists inside the border of Pakistan. After this action the situation between the two countries became very tense. Referring to the Nobel Peace Prize, Donald Trump expressed regret that despite establishing peace on such a large scale, he did not receive this honor. He said that Norway controls the award, and he has raised the issue several times before.
