Tehran: Tension has increased again between America and Iran. Iran has sought 300 billion dollars from the US for damages caused in the recent war. Also asked to return Iranian assets worth 100 billion dollars stuck in America. In return, Iran has asked to open the Strait of Hormuz, the world's most important sea route. But Trump flatly refused.
Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that Iran's demand is "interesting". But compensation will be given by Iran, not America. Trump says that this 5-month-long conflict happened because of Iran not giving up its nuclear weapons. Therefore, it is Iran's fault.
Trump also removed the list. They say Iran should give money to the families of these people:
Iran has clearly said, 'Until America does not accept our 4 demands, Hormuz will remain closed.'
Those 4 demands are: Give compensation, give stranded assets, lift sanctions, stop military threats. Iran's Revolutionary Guard IRGC also reiterated the same thing.
Because 20% of the world's oil and gas passes through this route. It connects the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea. If it remains closed then oil will become expensive and the supply of the entire world will be affected.
Right now both the countries are adamant. America will not give money, Iran will not open the way. The scope for negotiations also seems to be less. Simple fact - the tussle over compensation and Hormuz continues and its direct impact will be on the price of oil.
