FBI Raids Over 50 Locations Worldwide In Massive Crackdown On Lawrence Bishnoi Gang; 20 Arrested

New Delhi: The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has launched its biggest ever operation against the international crime network of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The US has charged jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his close aide Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar with ordering the assassination of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada

What did the US say?

The operation, dubbed "Operation Hard Ball", involved simultaneous raids on more than 50 locations in the United States, Canada, and various European countries. Approximately 20 people were detained in this major operation.

Large quantities of heroin and cocaine, several firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash were seized during the raids, which were led by FBI agents in several areas of California, including Los Angeles.

The main objective of this operation, conducted in collaboration with local police departments, is to completely dismantle Lawrence Bishnoi's global syndicate.

What about Lawrence Bishnoi?

According to sources, despite being in jail, Lawrence Bishnoi continued to issue instructions to his associates through smuggled mobile phones and controlled the entire network.

US investigative agencies said that the gang has been involved in high-profile murders, extortion of crores of rupees and large-scale cross-border drug trafficking.

What about Bishnoi's network?

The operation not only targeted Lawrence Bishnoi loyalists but also sought to dismantle the network of other gangs led by his associates like Goldy Brar, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Ravinder Singh Dhanda.

These gangs are also accused of stealing large shipments of cocaine from rival criminal gangs and smuggling drugs through commercial trucking routes.

US prosecutors have clearly stated that they have a zero tolerance policy against foreign criminal organizations and will not tolerate any such network on American soil.

What did Canada government say?

The Canadian government last year designated the Lawrence Bishnoi gang as a terrorist organization. The gang had targeted extortionists not only in India but also in the US, Canada and Europe.

Indian agencies have also confirmed several times that Lawrence Bishnoi's network is very strong in these countries and crimes are being committed in India from there.
