Imran Khan’s Ex-Wife Jemima Goldsmith Set to Marry Billionaire Cameron O’Reilly

Islamabad: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith is set to marry Dublin-born businessman Cameron O’Reilly, following a relationship of about one year, according to reports. The couple first met through work and had been friends for some time before that. 

Who is Cameron O’Reilly?

Cameron O’Reilly, is a 62-year-old businessman and is the son of the late international rugby player Sir Anthony O'Reilly. In 2003, he founded the private equity fund Bayard Capital and acquired Swiss metering company Landis+Gyr. He remained its CEO until he sold it to Toshiba in 2011 for $2.3 billion.

Where did Jemima and Cameron meet?

Cameron O'Reilly, who is a father of four, now works as an executive producer of documentaries and films, where he met Jemima Goldsmith. 

Jemima Goldsmith, who is 52-years-ols, is an award-winning screenwriter and documentary producer. 

The couple first met through work and were friends for a while before that. They have been together as a couple for just over a year. 

According to the media reports, Robin Birley, the owner of London's club 5 Hertford Street and Jemima's brother, has met O'Reilly.

The news of Jemima's engagement comes six months after the death of her mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, who died last October at the age of 91. Her father, Sir James Goldsmith, died in 1997. He was a billionaire financier, businessman, and media tycoon.

What about Jemima and Imran Khan's relationship?

Jemima and Imran married in 1995 when Goldsmith was 21 and Khan was 42. They announced their divorce in 2004 after nine years of marriage. At the time, Khan said that his political career had made it difficult for Jemima to adjust to life in Pakistan. 

Imran and Jemima have two sons, Sulaiman Isa Khan (17) and Kasim Khan (20). Goldsmith, along with her two sons, is currently campaigning online for Imran Khan, to be released from prison in Pakistan. The ex-cricketer turned politician was jailed in 2023 for corruption and remains behind bars after receiving further sentences in December last year in cases that he says are politically motivated.

Later after her divorce from Imran, Jemima has had several high-profile relationships, including with actor Hugh Grant and comedian Russell Brand. She has also been linked to New York literary agent Luke Janklow and The Crown writer Peter Morgan. However, this is the first time that news of her engagement and marriage has surfaced.
