International News: US President Donald Trump remains in the headlines for many things and decisions in his second term. Whether it is the matter of illegal immigrants or imposing tariffs on other countries. Every time, he remains in the headlines for one reason or another. In its second term, the Trump administration has deported more than 1700 Indian citizens. This figure is more than three times that of the Biden government.

During the second term of US President Donald Trump, there has been a sharp increase in the number of Indians being deported from the US. If we compare the current government with the old government, these figures are more than three times higher. Within six months, 1703 people have been deported from the US to India.

8 Indians are being deported every day

The deportation of Indian nationals from the US has been on the rise since Donald Trump became president in January 2025. This is almost three times the daily average seen during the Biden administration. According to data from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), 1,703 Indians have been deported in just six and a half months this year.

Almost eight every day, while the average was three per day between January 2020 and December 2024. This spurt is almost a quarter of all the deportations of Indians recorded in the last five and a half years, which total 7,244.

America is strict about disturbances

The US State Department had issued a warning to visa holders. It said, "We constantly check visa holders to ensure that they are following all US laws and immigration rules. If they do not do so, we will cancel their visas and deport them. In the last few days, it has been seen that America has made its visa rules even stricter.

When were Indians deported?

Of the 1,703 deportations so far this year, 864 individuals have been deported on charter and military flights organized by various US agencies. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, US Customs and Border Protection deported 333 Indians on military flights on February 5, 15, and 16. Another 231 were deported on ICE charter planes on March 19, June 8, and June 25. The Department of Homeland Security deported 300 more Indians on July 5 and 18.

Many countries have raised objections to the way America is targeting illegal immigrants. Despite this, Trump's stance is clear that he will not allow any illegal immigrant to stay in America.
