International News: Around 400 Indians are stuck at Kathmandu's Taribhuvan Airport amid Nepal protests. Due to the ongoing protests in Nepal, many flights have been canceled, due to which the passengers are upset. Many people sent a video message narrating their ordeal.The stranded people say that even after completing immigration, the airlines left them at the airport and the airline staff ran away, no one is present to help the passengers. There is an atmosphere of fear among the Indians stranded at the airport, because there is chaos outside.
The passengers said that after immigration, the flight staff told them to go back as the flight had been cancelled. But no one told them where to go. When the passengers refused to leave the airport due to the deteriorating conditions outside, the staff left the passengers there and went away.
Passengers say that there is no one there to help them, where should they go. The commotion is happening just one kilometer away from the airport. Although the Indian Embassy has issued emergency numbers, no arrangements have been made so far to bring the passengers stranded at the airport to India.
On the situation in Nepal, the Indian Foreign Ministry said, "We are closely monitoring the developments in Nepal since yesterday and are deeply saddened by the loss of lives of many young people. Our condolences and prayers are with the families of the deceased. We also wish for the speedy recovery of the injured."
At the same time, India has expressed hope that the situation in Nepal will be resolved peacefully. Apart from this, Indian citizens in Nepal have been advised to be cautious and follow the steps and guidelines issued by the Nepalese authorities.
