International News: As tensions rise in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the Indian Embassy in Iran has called on all Indian nationals living there to stay vigilant, avoid needless movement, and stay in touch with the embassy.

Emergency Contacts: Helpline Numbers and Support Links

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), the Embassy announced a special Telegram link meant exclusively for Indian citizens currently in Iran. The aim is to keep everyone informed and connected in case the situation worsens. The Embassy made it clear that this link should be used **only by Indian nationals currently in Iran**. It asked people to follow its official social media handles for all future updates and to avoid spreading misinformation. The mission also provided phone numbers that people can use to contact the Embassy directly in case of emergencies. It stressed the importance of staying vigilant and following instructions from both the local authorities and the Embassy.

Advice to Indian Citizens Amid Rising Tensions

The advisory comes after Iran and Israel exchanged attacks in a dramatic escalation of their conflict. On Friday, Iran alleged that Israeli airstrikes had struck its military and nuclear sites in a move called “Operation Rising Lion.” In a counter attack, Iran fired ballistic missiles toward Israeli cities, adding to growing concerns about the safety of civilians in the region. The Indian Embassy responded promptly by urging all Indian nationals and people of Indian origin in Iran to stay indoors and avoid all non-essential travel. “It is a delicate situation. Everyone should stay vigilant, follow the instructions from the local authorities, and stay connected through the official communication channels of the Indian Embassy in Iran.”

Staying Safe During Uncertainty

As the conflict evolves, the mission is committed to protecting the well-being of all its citizens in Iran. The Embassy has made it clear it will keep sharing crucial information and instructions through its official platforms.
