Washington: There was a ceasefire between America, Israel and Iran on 8 April. But the atmosphere deteriorated again at midnight on Sunday. Iran launched several missiles at Israel simultaneously. As soon as the missile arrived, sirens started sounding from Tel Aviv to Haifa. People ran towards the bunkers in panic.
Israel's military, the IDF, reported that a total of 11 missiles were fired simultaneously. This is the first major attack after the ceasefire. As soon as the missiles were seen on the radar, Iron Dome and other defence systems were activated.
The IDF says, "We intercepted the missiles as soon as they arrived. Our teams are working to stop the threat. People are urged not to pay attention to rumours and only follow government instructions."
At first the army said that there was no major loss. But in the morning the emergency service reported that one person had died in Israel and 6-7 people were injured. In some places, glass of buildings was broken and cars were damaged. Police and bomb squad are investigating everywhere.
The Air Force posted, and the government also sent an alert on everyone's phones. Schools and offices are currently closed.
As soon as the news of the attack was received, PM Netanyahu called the defence minister, army chief and Mossad officers in the night itself. The meeting continued in a closed room for 2 hours. According to sources, there have been talks on retaliatory action.
Actually, on Sunday morning, Hezbollah had fired rockets at the Israel border. In response, Israel carried out an airstrike in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut. Iran says they had people in Dahiyeh. To avenge this, missiles were fired at night.
Just hours before the attack, Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Rezaei had said on TV, "The response to Daahiyeh will be very heavy. Israel must be prepared." His words came true.
After the breaking of ceasefire, now the rhetoric from both sides has intensified. America has asked both to maintain peace. But Israeli ministers are saying that “an answer will definitely be given.” The threat of war is again looming in the Middle East. Now everyone's eyes are on the next 24 hours.
