International News: Innocent lives were once again lost on Monday in the ongoing bloody conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip. 14 people, including five women and seven children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. These attacks are deepening the humanitarian crisis, increasing the suffering of the people of the region.

Increasing deaths and destruction of innocents

This attack took place when a large number of Palestinians had gathered in Gaza to collect food items. Just a day before this, 31 people had died in a similar attack. The continuous air strikes have caused huge loss of life and property to the citizens of Gaza as well as disrupted everyday life. Amidst overcrowding and severe shortages of resources in hospitals and relief camps, the number of injured and helpless people is increasing day by day.

Silence and claims of the Israeli army

Although the Israeli army has not given any official response to this attack, it is clear that Israel says that it only targets terrorist hideouts and tries its best to avoid harming civilians. But the death of innocent civilians in the continuous attacks has raised questions about this claim. The devastation spread in the refugee camps of Gaza, and the number of dead is proof that the impact of violence is directly falling on the general public.

Start of the conflict and widespread humanitarian crisis

This war started on 7 October 2023 when Hamas attacked Israel on a large scale. About 1200 Israeli civilians were killed and 251 were kidnapped in that attack. After this, Israel started an armed operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which continues till now. So far about 54,000 Palestinians have been killed in this military operation, including a large number of women, children, and the elderly. The numbers are not just limited to deaths, but millions of people have been displaced, and a widespread humanitarian crisis has spread across the region.

Global efforts needed to reduce tensions

The ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip is not only a threat to regional peace, but it is also having serious implications at the global level. Thousands of people have been rendered homeless due to this conflict, hospitals and infrastructure have been affected, and the future of children has become bleak. In such a situation, it has become extremely important that the international community take effective steps to stop this violence and establish dialogue between the two sides.

Peace and stability are the only solutions for the people of Gaza. Rising above political differences and giving priority to human life is the biggest need of the day. As long as this conflict continues, there will be no scope for peace and security in the lives of the common people there.
