New Delhi: Pakistan's involvement in state sponsored terrorism against India and its duplicitous stance on the issue has been exposed once again. The latest embarrassment to Pakistan was dealt by a video which was posted recently on social media.
The video, which was posted on the official Facebook page of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), shows infamous Islamist terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) conducting a meeting in Lahore. The PMML is a political party backed by LeT chief Hafiz Sayed.
In the video, the LeT's deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri, the mastermind of the Pahalgam massacre and many such attack on India, is seen addressing an open meeting of Let cadre in Lahore.
During his speech to the Let cadre, Kasuri issued fresh threats against India, claiming that the India armed forces will not dare to challenge Pakistan for another 50 years after receiving what he termed to be a “severe blow”.
In the 3-hour video which was shared live on Facebook, Kasuri is seen recalling a meeting where Hafiz Saeed, in response to a question by one of the recruits, dismissed India's threats, saying, "Don't worry about India's empty threats. We've already dealt a severe blow to India, making it unlikely to consider attacking us for the next 50 years".
Kasuri also claimed that Pakistan will continue to support the terrorist movement in Kashmir. He also claimed that India has illegally occupied Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, and Gurdaspur, exposing Pakistan's plan to create trouble in the border states of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
The development has evoked strong sentiments within the Indian security establishment. Officials said the LeT meeting is proof of the terrorist outfit’s brazen confidence due to support by the Pakistani state and its involvement in terror activities against India.
"This exposes how Pakistan provides a platform to these terror outfits," a senior Indian official told the media.
"This narrative underscores Pakistan's complicity in supporting such organisations, contradicting its claims of not allowing its soil to be used for terror-related activity," he added.
“Pakistan's brazen display of support for terrorism contradicts its assertions that it only provides moral support to Kashmiris fighting against Indian forces”
Security agencies in India feel that this video is yet another irrefutable proof of Pakistan's involvement in promoting terrorism.
