Kyiv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described India as one of his strongest supporters. In an interview given to an American TV channel, he said that Israel receives extraordinary support from India and he constantly feels the affection of the Indian people. His statement has come at a time when there is intense discussion about differences between America and Israel regarding Iran.

Did Netanyahu mention India's support?

Netanyahu said that America is Israel's closest ally and President Donald Trump has always supported his country. However, he also clarified that Israel's friends in the world are not limited to America only.

He said that a huge country like India, which has a population of more than 140 crores, has a very positive attitude towards Israel. He said that he receives a large number of supportive messages from India on social media, which gives him an idea of the sentiments of the Indian people.

Do many countries of the world support Israel?

Netanyahu said that even though some countries may have different opinions on public platforms, leaders of many nations privately express their desire to increase cooperation with Israel. He claimed that heads of many countries want to learn from Israel's experience in areas such as security, defence, artificial intelligence (AI) and cyber technology.

He also said that Israel is among the leading countries in the world in the field of cyber technology and that is why many countries are willing to increase strategic partnership with it.

What reaction came after JD Vance's statement?

Netanyahu's comments come after US Vice President JD Vance's statement in which he advised Israel to be cautious regarding relations with America.

Vance had said that at present America is Israel's most influential ally and in such a situation unnecessary conflict between the two countries should be avoided. He also said that it is not possible to solve every security challenge through military action alone and Israel should also focus on long-term strategy.

Are preparations for the meeting between Trump and Netanyahu happening?

Meanwhile, there is news that Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu may soon meet in Washington. According to media reports, there was a recent phone conversation between the two leaders, after which there is a possibility of a meeting at the White House.

Although there are reported differences between the two leaders on some issues related to the security of Iran, Lebanon and West Asia, both countries have reiterated their commitment to maintaining strategic cooperation. It is believed that regional security, Iran and bilateral relations can be discussed in detail in the upcoming meeting.
