UN Chief Warns of Rising India-Pakistan Tensions, Calls for Peace

The Indian Army has been given complete exemption to take action against the terrorists. Meanwhile, United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over the increasing tension between the two countries.

UN chief regretted increasing stress

United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has expressed deep concern about this disturbance in India and Pakistan's relations. He said, "The tension between India and Pakistan has reached the highest level in many years. I respect the efforts made by leaders and citizens of both countries to establish peace, but I am regretting seeing that the relationship has deteriorated so much."

Condemnation of Pahalgam attack, appeal to punish the culprits

Guterres condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on 22 April and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. He said, "It is completely unacceptable to be attacked by citizens. Those responsible for this incident should be punished in a legal manner."

UN support for peace process

Antonio Guterres further said, "The United Nations is ready to support any step to reduce tension and promote peace efforts." Guterres emphasized the need for diplomatic efforts in this matter to establish peace between the two countries.

India's strict response and Modi government's strategy

After the Pahalgam attack, the Government of India has decided to react strongly against Pakistan. PM Modi has given an open exemption to the Indian Army against the terrorists, so that they can implement their strategies without any political pressure. Prime Minister Modi is constantly holding high -level meetings with army officers to compete against Pakistan immediately.

India's military preparations against Pakistan

India has alerted its security forces at the highest level to put pressure on Pakistan. Security along the border has been tightened, and operations against terrorists have been expedited. India's plan is that if any strict action is taken against Pakistan, it should be quick and effective.
